Some images of home in the top of the South Island and a quote or two from Douglas Adams

Dawn always adds perspective. Sunrise happens here in Tasman Bay as it sets somewhere over South America, a reminder of how small the planet we live on is.

['There is a moment in every dawn when light floats, there is the possibility of magic. Creation holds its breath.' ]

In between rising and falling, light touches some of my favourite places...

['The chances of finding out what’s really going on in the universe are so remote, the only thing to do is hang the sense of it and keep yourself occupied.' ]

...and when the sun sets, living near a dark sky reserve is magic.

['Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun...' ]
